About Tobali
Tobali Surf offers personalized surf lessons in Uluwatu, guided by an experienced local instructor in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
We provide lessons for beginner to intermediate surfers, and guiding for advanced surfers. Whether you want to catch your first waves or refine your style, we've got you.
With strong local knowledge, we choose the right conditions each day for your level—so you can feel comfortable, progress naturally, and build a real connection with the ocean.
Every lesson is designed to leave you feeling confident, supported, and inspired to continue your surfing journey.
I'll be your surf instructor here in Bali.
I bring a calm, focused, and positive energy to every session, teaching with patience and safety. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and able to catch as many waves as possible.
I offer personal guidance for all levels and love working with both kids and adults. With strong local knowledge, I choose the best surf conditions each day based on your level and goals.
For me, surfing is about being present, building confidence, and connecting more deeply with the ocean and yourself.

Surf Levels
Beginner
Perfect for first-time surfers or those building confidence
You will learn:

Ocean safety and basic surf etiquette

How to paddle and position on the board

Pop-up technique (standing up)

How to catch white water waves

Balance and control on the board

Turtle Roll (getting through the waves)
Goal:
To stand up and ride your first waves with confidence in a safe, supportive environment to master beginner level to be able to surf the green waves and join the lineup.
Intermediate
For surfers who can already stand up and want to improve
You will learn:

How to catch green waves (unbroken waves)

Better positioning and timing

Turning and riding along the wave (left & right)

Improving paddling technique and efficiency

Building speed and control on the wave

Duck Dive (depending on board type)
Goal:
To surf green waves consistently and gain more control, flow, and become and independent surfer.
Advanced
For experienced surfers ready to refine performance
You will learn:

Advanced positioning and wave selection

Speed generation and powerful turns
-
More technical manoeuvres (cutbacks, snaps, etc.)

Surfing in bigger or more challenging conditions

Equipment guidance and performance improvement
Goal:
To surf with confidence, style, and control in a variety of conditions.
